Creative Growth

I shot this job a while back in Salt Lake City for Outside, and kind of forgot about it. I rediscovered this shot,which was my favorite from the entire shoot, but never made it into the magazine.

This image is about physical growth, but I think it's also a good analogy for creative growth. You need to get outside your comfort zone in order to grow. Or as a friend of mine likes to say, "growth requires a temporary surrender of security."
